The Dante Show: Mangia! Mangia!

For Dante’s birthday, my sister got us a very cute book: Mangia! Mangia! by Amy Wilson Sanger, which represents a bunch of different Italian foods using paper collage art. Dante really took a shine to this book, and before long he would say the Italian words if I’d leave space for him to do it.

Happily for us, my sister visited us this past weekend, so she got a chance to see it in action. We tried taping it a little later, and there was some Observer Effect kicking in, but we managed to capture some of the cuteness. Then we let him throw himself around and play peekaboo, which is what I think he wanted to do the whole time he was reading anyway.

I apologize in advance if my Italian pronunciations are horrendous.
