The story so far

Dante was born via c-section on June 21, 2005. He was a big baby, nine pounds fourteen ounces, and the birth was tumultuous. He struggled at first, staying in the hospital intensive care unit for a week before coming home. Even once he was home, he still remained hooked to an oxygen tank and received daily doses of medication.

As the days passed, he became stronger and stronger, finally ditching the oxygen and meds when he was about four weeks old. He and his parents spent lots of time at home learning each other’s ways, creating a new life together with room for all three of them. This was hard at first, but got easier after a couple of months.

We join him now at two months old, as he makes his way through a world he wasn’t quite expecting…
